A long-life, linear, high efficiency 8K split. A long-life, linear, high efficiency 8K split Stirling cycle cryocooler was designed, built, and tested.

The refrigerator is designed for cooling a 50 mW, K magnetic cold stage. But when the compressor was changed, the newly obtained data formed another relation. The maximum cooling capacity of the first stage at 40K is W, and that of the second stage at K is W.
